Breathalyser Calibration Service
Simply put, to ensure your cars runs properly stays in good order you get it serviced on a regular basis… The same principle applies to all AlcoSense breathalysers. By getting it calibrated at the recommended intervals you can be sure it will continue to give you the peace of mind you are looking for… If you have more questions, keep reading…
What is Calibration?
All breathalysers indicate BAC (Blood Alcohol Concentration) levels based on the information stored in the sensor’s memory. Exact values of certain BAC levels are stored so that the sensor can provide the most accurate readings. Over time, these stored values lose accuracy as more tests are conducted. The sensor itself and the stored sensor values deteriorate over time and with more tests, affected by external variables. Some brands and breathalysers can't be calibrated, which means this deterioration is permanent. Fortunately, all AlcoSense breathalysers can be recalibrated to bring them back to as new accuracy, even after hundreds of uses.
How often should you recalibrate your breathalyser?
