Police Chase Drunk Drivers
It's not very often you get two drivers of the same car, both over the limit. Unless of course you were in Tuggeranong on Friday night 27th August.
Two 19 year old men and a woman were pulled over in Tuggeranong because the car did not have its headlights on but as the officers approached the car it sped away. The officers quickly got back in their car and pursued, a pursuit that lasted all of 40seconds before the car sped through a red light and crashed in to the back of a hatchback.
All three occupants got out and fled but were chased and caught by the officers and occupant of the hatchback.
The two men were tested and found to be over the .00 limit for probationary licence holders but when questioned both men claimed the other was driving!
It's pretty simple. If you drink, don't drive. If you want to make sure you're OK and not be involved in a police pursuit then test yourself with an Alcosense Breathalyser!
