Beer O'Clock disaster
The end of the week and it's beer O'Clock at the office but are you covered if something goes wrong?
OH&S policies should state at least someone present has gone through responsible serving of alcohol training. If not, make sure you're at a venue with qualified servers. It will always fall to the employer to take responsibility for their staff.
TPG have very strict policies regarding alcohol consumption in their work place to completely cover any liability while their staff are enjoying knocking off.
Many other companies encourage similar policies; however, most only relate to alcohol consumed while at the office or at the function.
A good fuel cell breathalyser is capable of testing everyone when they leave and is a great way to make sure they stay safe and return to work!
